Worksheet is not just for practice. Teachers can also let their students do a group activity through worksheets. Through this, students will learn how to bond and work with their classmates as one team. Teachers may also make worksheet activities as a contest. The prizes at hand will inspire and motivate students to perform well and learn their lessons. It is important to learn letter first. The children must need to know how to write letters in printable form. After that, they can be taught how to write cursive. Writing cursives is not as easy as writing letters in printable form. Remember that kids put more attention on animation. They are more interested on having fun so it is best for a teacher to teach them write letters in a fun way. Teachers may have noticed that when children are just being told on what to do, they may not do it right out of lack of interest.
The instructions are given in an easy way. Activities are based on certain contents. Tasks and activity given according to the age and so on. Teachers even use printable worksheets. The kids are allowed to trace the numbers, letters and even join dots. This is the perfect way to control the movement of the wrist and fingers of the kids who are practicing these worksheets. With continuous practicing it gets easier for the children to learn and write clearly. Worksheets are used in schools to practice cursive writing. Worksheets can be a fun activity for the students.
There are two important points that may be kept in mind here: The learning should be fun. It should not feel like work, but play. For otherwise, children will quickly get bored. Hence it would be a good idea to use a lot of interesting activities, games, coloring sheets, illustrated kindergarten worksheets etc. You should be well prepared with these teaching aids, which can be made very easily. The learning should be real-worldly. It is easiest to learn and remember when whatever is learned is immediately applied to a practical, real-life situation. You should use every opportunity to teach and regularly reinforce basic concepts taught, in real-life and in real-time. For instance, during snack-time, if a child is eating a biscuit, you can say - B for biscuit. While waiting for a school van, you can say - V for Van and so on.
